ARUHI enters second stage
to become a globally unique
"one-stop homebuying service company"

In 2020, the world faced an unprecedented crisis, which has transformed the society and the way we think, work and live. And in 2021, ARUHI will change.

ARUHI has grown as the largest specialist mortgage loan provider in Japan that supports the decision "one day (aruhi)" people make to buy a new house, to change their lives. We have placed three core businesses—the conventional housing loan business, and newly added (residential) real estate and consumer services (after homebuying) businesses—aiming to attain synergies among these businesses. We will provide services and products to meet all of our customers' needs in homebuying and evolve to a globally unique “one-stop homebuying service company”.

ARUHI's housing loan unit will accelerate growth through new initiatives, working with real estate and consumer service units to offer various sets of services to meet the customers' needs through our diverse sales channels.

The real estate business will be the second pillar next to housing loans. We will deploy novel services; supporting people who want to buy a new home at various life stages, sharing information about the most livable communities and homes, and offering homebuying advice, loans for homebuying, and recruitment agency services for the real estate industry.

We will also initiate our consumer services related to homebuying, such as moving, tidying up, cars and other utilities for daily life. The consumer services unit will contribute to increasing synergies with real estate and housing loan businesses while each unit will be operated as an independent business.

To synchronize our business operations with ESG, we will work with local government agencies to develop cities, revitalize local communities, and address the unoccupied home issue, while also activating the market for pre-owned properties and energy-saving homes by issuing Green RMBS. ARUHI will operate business following the Corporate Governance Code and further strengthen compliance.

Hiroshi Hamada Profile

Hiroshi Hamada, born in Tokyo in 1959, graduated from Waseda University in 1982. He obtained master’s degree in Global Management at *Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, the U.S., in 1991.

He started his career at Yamashita-Shinnihon Steamship Co., Ltd. (now Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd.) then at AIG Group. In 1993, he joined the project to start up Dell Computer in Japan, which led him to Dell Computer (now Dell) in 1995. There, he spearheaded many new businesses including “Dell Direct Model”.

He was appointed Dell Japan’s President as well as Vice President of Dell HQ in 2000, and his responsibilities expanded to entire North Asia region in 2002, managing Korea, then China in 2003, where he achieved a strong sales growth.

He then moved on to HOYA CORPORATION as COO, where he materialized its merge with PENTAX, and led many global initiatives during the period of 2008-2012.

From May 1, 2015, Hamada lead ARUHI Corporation, as Chairman of the Board, Representative Director, President and CEO.

On April 1, 2022, He was appointed ARUHI’s Chairman of the Board and Representative Director.

  • He joined the Thunderbird Executive Leadership Council in July 2015. He was named chair of the Thunderbird Leadership Council, effective January 2018, and co-chair of the Thunderbird Global Alumni Network Advisory Board, effective November 2018.
